Format Table with Styles

Create the data table, then format the table with preformatted styles.

Click the table to format

The Table Tools toolbar displays

The Table Styles Options should be filled in first, as the look of the styles changes with different options

Click the options that match the type of table you have created

  • To emphasize the first row of the table, select the Header Row check box.
  • To emphasize the last row of the table, select the Total Row check box.
  • To have alternating striped rows, select the Banded Rows check box.
  • To emphasize the first column of the table, select the First

Go to the Tables Styles Group

Place the pointer over each of the preformatted styles to preview the effect on the table
To see all the styles, Click the blue arrow
Click the style to apply to the table

Change the options and styles until you are satisfied with the look of the table
