Splitting a Table

If you insert a long table into a document and there is not enough space to add the table to the existing page, the table will automatically split at the bottom of the page and insert the rest of the table on the following page. The way the table splits make the document look awkward; or, split in the wrong place.

How to split the table:
Double-click in any cell in the row where you want to make a split
A mew toolbar displays on the top of the screen named Table Tools

Click the Layout tab
Go to Merge group
Select Split Table icon You should now have the table split exactly where you wanted.
