Explode a Slice

A way to draw attention to a slice of a pie chart is to explode it, or pull it slightly out of the pie circle.

Open the document with a pie chart
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click two times on the slice to select it ... three small circles should surround the slice of the pie
Click and drag the slice of the pie out of the center

Usually an exploded slice is moved a slight distance way from the pie.

This is an effective way to draw attention to a slice in the pie chart.
