Aligning a Numbered List

Problem Aligning Numbers in a List

If you use Roman Numerals in a numbered list there is always a problem lining up these numbers.

The same problem exists when you use regular numerals beyond the number 9.
Example :
        9.
        10.
        11.
The numbers are out of alignment.

To make sure the numbers display correctly:
Click Home tab / Paragraph group
Click Numbering icon arrow
The following pop-up menu displays
Select Define New Number Format

Go to Alignment section / select Right from the drop-down list
Select the Number style from the drop-down list
OK to lock in the changes

The numbers will align correctly.
