Create Hyperlink to E-mail Address

A hyperlink can be created for an internet site or an e-mail address.

Open the Word document
Select the text or the object that you want to use as a hyperlink
Click Insert tab / Links group / Hyperlink
Under Link to: select E-mail Address



If you highlighted text, it will automatically display in the Text to display: box.
If you did not highlight text, type it in the Text to display: box.
Type in your e-mail address; the mailto portion is an auto display feature.
OK

The e-mail address link appears in the document.
