Gray Brackets Around Bookmarked Text

If you see gray brackets around a line of text, the Bookmark display option has been activated.

To remove the brackets:

Highlight or click within the bracketed text area

Go to Insert tab / Links group
Select Bookmark button

Highlight the bookmark name
Click Delete

The brackets will be removed from the text.
