When you cut and paste in a paragraph there is often
an extra line that remains; delete a single word and
you have an extra space, etc. Some of these
formatting problems can be eliminated by adjusting
options.
Click the Office button
Go to Word Options button at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click Advanced.
Under Editing Options
Select the When
Selecting, Automatically Select Entire Word check
box.
Select the Use Smart Paragraph Selection check
box.

Click OK to save the changes.
