Embedding Fancy Fonts

The fonts used in a document determine exactly how that document appears when viewed or printed. When a fancy font is used oftentimes Word will substitute with a common font. As a result the formatting can become distorted. Text will flow differently and lines or pages will not break at the same place as originally intended.

The solution to this problem is to embed fonts.

Click the Office Button / Go to the bottom of the pane and select Word Options
On the left hand side of the screen select Save

Go to the Preserve fidelity when sharing this document section
Check box Embed fonts in the file and Do not embed common system fonts.
OK

Make sure you save in the .doc or .docx format.
Files saved in .rtf format do not always embed correctly.
