Insert and Modify a Cover Page

Word can give your document a professional look. One great feature is the Cover Page option.
There are preformatted cover pages which can be customized.

Insert a Cover Page:

Click Insert / Pages Group / select Cover Page

From the gallery select a design

The cover page is inserted at the beginning of the document
Insert the information on the template
Move the information around
Edit text as needed

Customize the Cover Page

The cover page section can be customized
Highlight a colored design area to make changes

Click Drawing Tools from the ribbon
Click Format tab and a special toolbar appears with options

Click the blue arrow for a complete listing of Shape Styles

Highlight the design of style / Select from Shape Styles, etc
Shadows or 3-D effects can be added

Remember, simplicity of color and design is the end result.

Save a Cover Page to the Gallery for future use:

After you have customized your cover page

Select the entire cover page / Click Insert Ribbon
In the Pages Group select Cover Page
Click Save Selection to Cover Page Gallery

Remove a Cover Page from the Gallery

Click Insert Ribbon / Pages Group / Click Cover Page
Select cover page / Click Remove the Current Cover Page
