Microsoft Word places a dividing line between the body and the endnotes/footnotes by default. If the endnotes/footnotes run over to a second page you will also see a line running across the top section indicating that the endnotes are carried over from the preceding page. I would recommend that you delete these lines. Open the document
Go to References tab / Footnotes group
The screen will split into two screens; the lower screen displays the
endnotes/footnotes
Highlight the line / Click Delete Click the Blue arrow at the end of the box and select
Again highlight the line and Click Delete Click the Blue arrow at the end of the box and select
Save the document All the separator lines should be removed from the document. Updated:
