Superscripts
and Subscripts
Superscripts
raise the text slightly above the current line.
On
5th Avenue
: the th is an example of a
superscript.
Subscripts lower the text slightly
below the current line.
H20 is an example of a subscript.
Select the test you want to format as superscript or
subscript
Click Format
Click Font
Click Font tab

Select Superscript or Subscript check box
Click OK
You can also automatically customize the Superscript
function
Click Tools
Click AutoCorrect
Select AutoFormat and also the As You Type tabs
Check the Ordinals (1st) with superscript check box
Click OK
The next time you type in 4th the text will
automatically format to a superscript.
