Printing with .5 Margins

If you have a document set with .5 margins you can expect printing problems when using different printers. Your office might have a laser printer; at home you might be using an inkjet printer.

Most laser printers can handle the .5 margins.

Many inkjet printers are unable to print closer than .67 inches or so from the bottom or top edge of the paper.

If you want both printers to print identical pages, set the minimum value at .7 inch

Click File / Page Setup
Go to Margins tab

Use .7 inch settings for top and bottom; or, for the entire document.

This adjustment will allow both printers to print identical pages.
