Pack a File and Go

You are preparing a PowerPoint presentation in your office and would like to take the presentation to your home to do the final touches.

Step One: How do you save your presentation to a diskette?

Open your PPT presentation
Select File from the menu bar
Select Pack and Go
The Wizard will walk you through the next stages

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click Next>

Select Active Presentation
Next>

Insert diskette in A:\ drive
Next>

Select Include linked files
Select Embed TrueType fonts … this options saves your special fonts, etc. which might not be included in your computer at home, school, etc.
Next>

Select Don't include the Viewer if you have PowerPoint installed in your home or office computer

Select Viewer for Windows 95 or NT if you do not have PowerPoint installed in your home or office computer. If you select this option, you will have to download the Viewer.

Click Finish

Step Two: How to install the PowerPoint presentation on your home computer?

Open your computer
Click on My Computer Icon
Double click on 3 1/2 Floppy (A:)

Double click on pngsetup.exe
A dialog box will ask you where you want to save the file

After the C:\prompt type in the name of the file
               C:\pptshow or any other name

Click OK to create the directory
A message will display :

Click Yes, to make sure you have all your slides.
