Open the PowerPoint Program. PPT XP opens directly to a three column set-up. Column 1 displays 2 tabs: Column 2 displays the slide working area Column 3 displays the task pane view with forward and backward arrows, The program also opens with the New Presentation task pane Click Blank presentation from the task pane These preformatted layout designs are set up to center text, make bulleted lists, add clip art and charts. Any of these slides can be mixed. Select those that will compliment your presentation. Make sure the three following toolbars are displayed Standard, Formatting, Task pane Customize the Formatting toolbar Click the black diamond at the end of the toolbar Check off the following boxes :
You are now ready to begin to input data.
