Creating a Distribution List

The Personal Distribution List is equivalent to a mailing list of multiple users. You can send one message to all members in your department, office, work group, committee members, class group, etc.  

Click Inbox icon
Click Address Book icon

Click New entry icon

Select New Distribution List
Put this entry in the: Contacts or Personal Address Book
Click OK

Type a name for your list or group
Click Select Members button

Select the names of the individuals from the Rivier College Community
Click Add - >
Add as many names as you want
Click the Save and Close button
This is a sample of the IT Department file that was created:

Notice the list is alphabetized

Sending a Message from the Distribution List

Go to the Contacts Folder

Double Click IT Department
Click on New Message icon
The regular e-mail window will display
Follow the regular e-mail directions

Adding New Names to the Distribution List

If you have members outside of the RC Community
Click Add new button

Type in the person's display name: John Ziebol
Type in e-mail address: jziebol@aol.com
Address type: Select Internet Address
Check Add to contacts
Click OK

The new member is automatically alphabetized on the Distribution List.

Deleting Names from the Distribution List

Open the Distribution List
Highlight the name of the person to be deleted
Click Remove
Exit the screen
Do you want to save the changes? Yes
