Rearranging the Tab Order

The Tab Order is the order in which you advance from one field to the next. When a form is customized and fields are moved around, the tab order can be changed. When filing in a form there should be smooth transition from one field to another.

Change the Tab Order

Open the Access database form
Click the Design icon
Click View
Click Tab Order…

Highlight the row you want to move
Place the cursor on the small plain button at the left of the field tag
Drag and drop (up or down) to new location
Adjust all other fields as needed
OK
