The default setting is 12.75 points. It is possible to change this setting.

The easiest way is to change the default:
Click Format
Click Row Height…

Type in a new value
Remove the check mark next to Standard Height
OK

Adjust the row height until you are satisfied with the setting.

You can drag with the mouse to change the row height.
Go to the left hand record selector bar
Place the cursor between the lines
Move the double line upward to make the field smaller
Move the double line downward to make the field larger

The change that you make to one record will be the new default for all records.
