Moving columns is easy in MS Access.

In the following table, the First and Last Name columns will be moved to a new location.

Click to highlight the column you want to move

Place the cursor and hold down the left mouse key over the first column

A small envelope will display indicating you are in moving mode

Move the columns to the right of the Address ID grid separating the columns

A large double lined area will display

Release the mouse button to the right of the heavy grid line

The tables are moved

Click anywhere in a field outside the column area to remove the highlighting.
