Class of 2013
Hometown: Farmingdale, N.Y.
Sarah Fronckwicz '13 has taken advantage of the many opportunities Rivier College offers for students to become immersed in the campus community. She is a member of two clubs, an intercollegiate sports team, and holds a part-time job on campus. Fronckwicz has found that extracurricular involvement allows students to make friends, embrace the community feel of the college, and still remain devoted to their studies. “You can be involved in many things and still perform well in the classroom,” she says.
Fronckwicz is president of the Rivier Psychology Club, the Club Liaison on the Student Government Association, and participates in Campus Ministry activities. She is also a member of the Raiders’ cross country team, saying that participation in a sport allows students to connect with the campus community at the beginning of the year. “You have immediate friends,” she says. Fronckwicz also serves as a Student Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Day Admissions, where she helps prospective students learn more about the Rivier experience. “Part of what sold me on coming to Rivier was the personal tour I received when I visited the College,” she says. “I want to be able to give our future students the same experience I had.”
When she graduates, Fronckwicz plans to enter graduate school, possibly in industrial or organizational psychology. “Hopefully, I’ll be able to integrate psychology and business,” she says, adding that she hopes to pursue a career in human resources.
