Rivier hosts annual Thanksgiving Basket Project & Interfaith Service on Nov. 22

Rivier University is preparing for its annual Thanksgiving Basket Project, setting a goal of 350 food baskets and turkeys for distribution to local families in need.

Students, staff, faculty, and alumni have been invited to participate in this community service project. Donations are being collected by the Campus Ministry Office and will be assembled in the Dion Reception Room for the Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service at 11:30 a.m. on November 22.

Thirteen Nashua-area agencies will attend the service, after which the food baskets will be loaded into their waiting vehicles by Rivier students, coaches, faculty and staff.

Partnering agencies for 2016 include Anne-Marie House, CareGivers, Inc., Corpus Christi Food Pantry, Greater Nashua Mental Health at Community Council, Healthy at Home, HIV/AIDS Task Force, Keystone Hall, Nashua Foundation for Oncology/Hematology, Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, NH Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army, Title One, and, for the first time this year, C.O.R.E. (Community Outreach Resource & Education Center) Nashua.
