Rivier University welcomes new members to Board of Trustees

New members’ professional expertise builds on existing Board’s strength.

Rivier University has appointed two new members to its Board of Trustees: Talesha Caynon Saint-Marc, Esquire, and Ana Hebra Flaster.

“Rivier University is fortunate to have the expertise and community commitment of Talesha and Ana,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, President. “Both bring a significant insight into the rapidly changing higher education environment. Their leadership will be an added source of strength as we continue to extend the University mission.”

TaBOTSaint-Marc2lesha Caynon Saint-Marc, Esq., is an Associate Attorney at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, P.A. in Manchester; she is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Prior to joining the firm, Saint-Marc served as a New Hampshire Supreme Court Judicial Clerk. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Franklin Pierce University and Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. She is president of the Bishop Estee and Ida Newman Scholarship Fund Committee, a member of the NH Women’s Bar Association and Leadership Academy, and a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua.

Published author and global communications consultant Ana Hebra Flaster is an advocate for education. Her short stories and essays have been featured in magazines, newspapers, and literary journals, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Descant. A native of Cuba, she has written and recorded Cuba-themed commentaries for NPR’s national broadcasts of All Things Considered and Weekend Edition, and for WBUR in Boston. She is fluent in Spanish and holds a B.A. in Economics and Spanish Literature from Smith College. Flaster is a founding member of the first Massachusetts chapter of Stand for Children, a national lobbying group that champions policy and funding initiatives to benefit children.

With 2,700 students at the baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral levels and academic programs serving both the on-campus and online populations, Rivier’s 27-member Board provides strategic direction in fostering the core mission of “transforming’s hearts and minds to serve the world.’
