NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier University will hold its annual Golf Classic on Monday, September 29th at the Nashua Country Club in Nashua, N.H. The Club hosts a beautiful and challenging course making Rivier University’s Golf Classic one of the region’s premier golf events.

Now in its 17th year, the event directly benefits Rivier students through the development of the University’s NCAA Division III athletic programs and health and fitness resources. “The tournament is generously supported each year by corporate and individual sponsors, and last year the event raised more than $45,000,” said Karen Cooper, Vice President for University Advancement.

Rivier Raiders compete as Division III members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Eastern College Athletic Conference, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, the North Atlantic Conference and the New England Collegiate Volleyball Association. The University fields thirteen varsity teams—six men's and seven women's teams including baseball, basketball, cross-country, soccer, softball, lacrosse, field hockey and volleyball.

“It’s great to have an athletic event where the proceeds have a direct impact on Riv’s student-athletes,” said Joanne Merrill, Director of Athletics. “The generosity of our sponsors and golfers has helped Raider teams travel and compete in Europe, California, Florida and South Carolina, to name a few. Without a successful tournament, all of these opportunities would not be possible.”

A variety of corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. Space is limited—call today to reserve your spot or foursome. For more information, please visit or
