Rivier University President joins NH Charitable Foundation Board of Directors

 July 7, 2014 – Rivier University’s president, Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, was welcomed onto the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation Board of Directors last week. Buley, a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, joined Rivier University in 2012, after serving in senior roles at several Catholic colleges and universities, and is the former Executive Vice President of Administration at Seton Hall University.

“As New Hampshire’s largest provider of unrestricted scholarships in the state, we are excited to have Sister Paula’s added perspective on higher education,” shared Richard Ober, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Annually, the Foundation awards nearly 5,000 grants and scholarships totaling $30 million.

Among her many community and professional commitments, Buley currently serves as a director for Catholic Charities of New Hampshire and St. Joseph Hospital. She is also a member of the New Hampshire Higher Education Commission and a New Hampshire College and University Council executive committee member.

The Charitable Foundation’s 14-member Board of Directors features leaders with substantial experience and accomplishments in business, the public sector and the nonprofit sector in New Hampshire.
