Rivier University named a College of Distinction for third consecutive year Posted September 18, 2013 Share NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier University has been named a 2013-2014 College of Distinction, joining select colleges and universities across the country recognized as teaching-centered educational institutions with accomplished faculty that excel at engaging students, fostering vibrant communities, and producing successful outcomes. This is the third year Rivier has received this designation. “This recognition validates Rivier’s dedication to providing an exceptional educational experience to students and truly exemplifying our mission of ‘transforming hearts and minds to serve the world,’” says Vice President for Enrollment Management Karen Schedin. “We are proud to again be named among this distinguished list of well-respected institutions of higher learning.” The Colleges of Distinction program is sponsored by Student Horizons, Inc., an organization which serves as a resource for high school students, parents, guidance counselors, and other education professionals who help students meet their educational goals. Their classrooms are among the most exciting in the country; their programs are some of the most innovative.” Rivier has also been named a Military Friendly school by GI Jobs Magazine and is a designated Yellow Ribbon school by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
