Rivier University President’s Circle to feature Jerry Gappens of NH Motor Speedway

The Rivier University President’s Circle will host a Leadership Forum on March 26, featuring a presentation by Jerry Gappens of New Hampshire Motor Speedway—“Racing to Success,” a discussion of the strategic and operational planning of the Speedway, as well as the impact of sports marketing on the New England economy.

Gappens is the executive vice president and general manager

of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the largest sports and entertainment venue in New England and the host of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events. He has more than 15 years experience promoting events for Speedway Motorsports, Inc.  and 25 years experience in the motorsport industry. Known for creative and innovative promotions, Gappens  served as senior vice president of events and marketing for Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina prior to his move to New Hampshire.


Comprised of distinguished business and community leaders, the Rivier University President’s Circle supports Rivier’s educational mission, opens dialogue and promotes the exchange of ideas and approaches for dealing with issues impacting the businesses and citizens of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
