The Art Gallery at Rivier University will present a new exhibition titled "THE BoNE SHOW (Best of New England): Graphic Design from the Boston Chapter of the AIGA, The Professional Association for Design" from Nov. 5 through Dec. 6.
The AIGA is America’s oldest and largest professional membership organization for design as visual communication and strategic advantage, and ultimately as a vital cultural force. It amplifies the voice of design by defining global standards and ethical practices. Nationally it also establishes criteria for higher education in design, enhances professional development, and sponsors the publication of powerful tools and resources. The Art Gallery is pleased to present the AIGA’s 2013 juried exhibition of design by New England practitioners. Through the theme That Was Then/This Is Now the work celebrates the tenth anniversary of the organization’s Boston Chapter. Participants in this prestigious, nationally recognized competition are given opportunities for publishing their work in print and online in addition to displaying it in the traveling exhibition currently on view at Rivier University.
Included in the exhibition are designs for books, posters, visual identity, and other materials created for print.
The gallery is located on the second floor of Memorial Hall and is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
