The Division of Student Development holds as its basic tenet the ideal that learning occurs beyond the classroom. Offices within the division utilize a combination of challenge and support to engage students in programs and activities in areas that are strongly linked to the college's mission and that are realized through:

  • Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that foster intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional, physical and career development.
  • Leadership development programs and related activities
  • Social issues and civic-minded involvement both on campus and in the surrounding community
  • Programs and activities that promote exposure and sensitivity to diverse ethnic and cultural differences while also encouraging cross cultural interaction
  • Collaboration with academic affairs
