Rivier University ( invites applications for the position of Associate Director of the Annual Fund. Founded in 1933 by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Rivier College became Rivier University on July 1, 2012. The University is a four-year Catholic institution in Nashua, New Hampshire offering liberal arts and professional programs with an enrollment of 2,300 students.

The University seeks an experienced and energetic fundraiser with a proven track record of closing annual gifts and meeting or exceeding measurable performance goals. The Associate Director of the Annual Fund will join an advancement operation with the strategic goal of advancing a donor-centric fundraising model and accelerating philanthropy across all aspects of the institution. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate Director of the Annual Fund develops and implements a comprehensive annual giving program; and identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards annual giving donors.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in a development or advancement office in higher education or a non-profit organization and will demonstrate: 

  • success closing annual gifts through personal solicitation and written proposals
  • a track record of developing innovative and successful annual fundraising programs, utilizing direct mail, electronic communications, and phone solicitation programs
  • exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • past experience meeting or exceeding measureable goals
  • ability to manage multiple short- and long-term goals in a deadline driven environment
  • The ability and willingness to support the mission of the University, in all daily activities.
