GRADUATE ASSISTANT
DIVISION OF EDUCATION- UNDERGRADUATE
(18 hours per week, 14 weeks) 

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assisting in coordination of course schedules:  Generates and/or prints lists including course enrollment by department and by faculty,            interacts with Registrar’s office to request data at the direction of the Program Directors 
  • Organizing databases using excel: Possesses or acquires working knowledge to manage information in Excel database 
  • Running analysis of research data using SPSS: Works closely with faculty to organize and analyze research data 
  • Assists in scheduling appointments for student advising, faculty meetings: Emails or call students and faculty, pulls student files in advance of meetings 
  • Assists in curriculum mapping and program revision projects: Provides research on comparative institution programs, assists in editing/collating    information for undergraduate and graduate catalogue revisions
  • Other clerical and research duties (as necessary): Compiles research articles for professors working on publications 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • The ability and willingness to support the mission of the University, in all daily activities.
  • Enrollment in a graduate program at Rivier University 

COMPENSATION: 
This position is 18 hours per week position from September to December.  (Exact weeks, days and hours worked to be determined with supervisor.)  Compensation is a tuition waiver of 6 graduate credits during the fall semester. Courses need to be taken simultaneously with the semesters worked as graduate assistant.
