The OGE recognizes the many cross cultural opportunities that exist within Nashua and throughout New England. Such experiences are considered gateways to longer teaching trips and study abroad experiences. Local immersion experiences are always being developed with other Rivier departments. Most cross cultural experiences will be one to three days in duration and combine learning and service components.
Dinner with the Muslim Student Assocation of UMASS Lowell
An opportunity to casually spend time with Muslim students and see how they live their lives in a mostly non-muslim community. The Muslim Student Association at UMASS Lowell was founded in 1975 and is one of the oldest student organizations on campus. The MSA’s primary goal is not only to address and serve the voices and needs of the Muslim community around campus, but to actively contribute to the diversity and growth of the university as well. The MSA aims to help promote a sphere of understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
