Do you use computing technology in your everyday life to:
Research a topic of interest?
Do your homework and prepare class presentations?
Create a cool digital photo album or design a song database?
Play an online multi-player game through a server that networks players all over the world?
Have fun personalizing the configuration of your mobile phone with the latest features?

The Rivier College Summer Institute in Computer Science (SICS) will bring you even closer to the practice and theory of computing technology and many of its fascinating applications.

SICS is an intensive six-day program that runs from June 26 to July 1. You will learn about networking, multimedia and web authoring, databases, programming, and technological innovation. You will also:

Work closely with prominent college professors,

Connect with other high-school students with similar interests,

Practice in well-equipped computer labs,

Live on campus and take part in field trips,

Get a head start on earning transferable college credits.

At the end of the program your entire work will be "showcased"  in a web-based electronic portfolio, and "burned" on a CD.  Among the portfolio "tabs" are reports of lab activities, profiles of field trips to high-tech firms and research labs, hands-on projects, and photo albums.
