Course Description( 3 credits )
This course presents advanced Java features, focusing primarily on server-side
Java technologies. It starts with a thorough grounding in Exceptions,
Input/Output and Streams, and Threads, and then moves on to cover topics that
include Serialization, Reflection, Networking, JDBC (Java Database
Connectivity), and Java Beans. The course assignments are an
integral part of the learning process; students will write non-trivial programs
that use these Java features.
Prerequisite : CS585 Practical Java Programming, or
equivalent.
