Perl Programming

Course Description ( 3 credits )
This course is an introduction to
the programming and scripting language, Perl. Perl is probably the most widely
used scripting language on networks, and the World Wide Web, and the ability to
program in Perl is very important skill to have in one’s arsenal. The course
will go from simple Perl basics through more complex features such as arrays,
hashes, and regular expressions, to more advanced usage, for example with CGI
programming, databases, and even GUIs. The goal is to provide the students with
a solid background from which they can become skilled and productive Perl
programmers.
