Brief Description

    NetBeans IDE is a fully-featured Java IDE written completely in Java, with many modules available such as: debugger, form editor, object browser, CVS, and emacs integration.

     NetBeans IDE is a robust, free, open source Java IDE that provides the developer with everything they need to create cross-platform desktop, web and mobile applications straight out of the box.
It includes an intuitive GUI Builder (formerly known as Project Matisse) as well as comprehensive support for developing plug-in modules, and rich client applications based on the NetBeans platform.

NetBeans does not include its own J2SE, but needs one to be installed on your machine for NetBeans to work.  You can visit www.netbeans.org/downloads/index.html to download and install the NetBeans/J2SE "bundle".
