INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this
report is to provide the Career Development Center (CDC), as well as
Academic Affairs, the Alumni Office, Admissions and other interested Rivier
departments with pertinent data on Rivier College’s 2006 graduates from the
School of Undergraduate Studies. The graduates we surveyed include
full-time day Associate and Bachelor degree recipients, with the exception
of Nursing.
Rivier’s 2006 graduates were mailed a Career Development Center survey in November 2006 and then, in January 2007, another mailing was sent to those who did not reply from the November outreach. Telephone calls were made in an attempt to reach those graduates who did not respond to our mailings. In an effort to further increase our data on graduate outcomes, new this year, we requested that faculty submit any confirmed career/continued studies information they’ve received on non-responsive graduates.
Of the 147 surveyed, the Career Development Center obtained information on 64 graduates, either through written responses or telephone calls. This represents a 44% return. We also received faculty-provided information on 18 graduates. This represents a 12% return. Based on the total response/feedback from graduates and faculty, the results described in this report reflect a 56% return. The percentage of graduates not represented in this survey equals 44%.
The chart on the next page reveals the distribution numbers of the graduates who were sent surveys, classified by their undergraduate programs. The chart also indicates the number of graduates in each program who responded to our survey and the number of graduates that faculty informed us about. Lastly, the numbers of graduates who did not respond or whose information was unavailable are included in this chart. This may help to clarify the concentration of feedback and statistical data, with respect to Undergraduate Programs, within this report.
