Paul
F.Cunningham is a tenured, full-time Professor of Psychology at Rivier
College, Nashua, NH and Director of the Assessment Program. He received
his doctorate in General/Experimental Psychology from the University of
Tennessee and an M.S. in Educational Psychology from Purdue University. He has served 15 years on the Rivier College faculty and eight years as
Chairperson of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department.
He
is a member of the American Association for Higher Education, presenting
papers on assessment at its conferences. He has conducted workshops on
assessment at UMASS Lowell, Southern Vermont College, the University of
Bridgeport (CT), and Unity College in Maine. He has also presented
papers on assessment at Bridgewater State College (MA) and at the New
England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on
Institutions of Higher Education's 1998 and 1999 Student Outcomes
Assessment Workshops throughout the New England area. He has served as a
NEASC accreditation team member with primary responsibility for
assessing Standard Two (Planning and Evaluation).
He completed a four-day intensive workshop conducted by Institutional
Effectiveness and Student Outcomes Assessment Record Book portfolio.
He
was a representative for Rivier College in Alverno College Institute's
2000-2001 Student Learning Initiative Project funded by The Pew
Charitable Trust to help develop a framework of principles and practices
for implementing a student learning outcomes curriculum.
