6/13/13-Child Care-Private Home child care position for the 2013-2014 Nashua School District Academic year, which begins August 27, 2013
I am seeking a reliable and responsible female student who enjoys children (and dogs, as we have one) to drive to our home in South Nashua at least three days a week after the elementary schools are dismissed to care for our two daughters, ages 10 and 7 years. We have an immediate need to arrange for help on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from approximately 3:30 p.m. when the girls get off the bus, to approximately 5:30 p.m. when I arrive home from work.
There is the possibility of adding a fourth day – Wednesdays – IF the student is able to meet the girls off the bus on the Wednesdays (usually once a month or every other month) when the school has early release—which is usually 1:30 p.m. I realize that the student may not know their Wednesday schedule until the academic year begins which is fine.
This academic year we have been paying $50/week for three days, up to six hours of care. This is negotiable for the coming year, and if Wednesdays were added to the mix, there is an opportunity to make at least $30 more per week.
It’s our expectation that this student would ensure that the girls do their homework after having a small snack and then engage with them in some kind of play, whether hanging out with them outside, playing a board game or whatever else interests them—as long as it’s safe and productive.
It’s also our expectation that this student would refrain from texting, making phone calls, etc. and be fully “present” for the girls while at the house.
If the student enjoys the girls and vice versa, we are also occasionally in need of care in the evenings; we’d welcome the chance to expand the relationship in that way.
I can be reached at 603.781.0464 in the evenings and on Fridays and ttfrederickson@comcast.net anytime.
We are enthused and hope to connect with a fun student who would like to get to know our girls.
