General Position Description: Work directly with the Membership Director and Program & Marketing Director on current promotions, projects and events. Assist in daily tasks including filing, faxing, answer phones, greeting clients, meeting preparations and other administrative tasks.
Specific Project to Include:
1. Develop a Social Media Plan
• FaceBook Promotion
• Twitter Updates
• Linked In Posts
• Other Social Media Avenues
2. Website Maintenance
• The GNCC Website
• iUGO Young Professional Website
3. Member Outreach
• Outreach Calls to new and renewing members
• Updating Member Profiles and Database
4. Program Planning
• Scheduling Event
• Booking Venues & Amenities Needed
• Creating Verbiage for Promotional Materials
• Creating Advertisements
• Any additional Event Management tasks required.
Specific Requirements: A general understanding of marketing strategies. General computer skills, communication skills, experience using office equipment, professional attitude, and professional appearance.
Preferred work schedule: During Chamber general business hours. Eight hours per week, minimum. Monday through Friday 8:30am -4:30pm. Flexible hours are available during events or functions, but are limited.
Position Available: Spring 2013 and/or Summer 2013
