The Youth Educational Employment Services (YEES Program) is looking for an intern in their Nashua, NH location who is interested in working with at-risk individuals ranging in age from 10 to 17. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will have the opportunity to job shadow the current caseworkers of the company and attend court hearings, interact with the juvenile probation department, attend IEP meetings, administer drug screens, supervise a small caseload of juveniles, interact with therapists, and attend to the Day Reporting Center.  Candidates should be aware that they will be left alone with juveniles at different points during the internship, and may be asked to transport juveniles as well.  Even though the internship is unpaid, any intern transporting a juvenile will be paid per mile driven. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Interested candidates should be a junior or senior status and have an interest in working with at-risk juveniles.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in entering the criminal justice or social work field.  The intern will have will have the opportunity to network with a lot of the local agencies that may open opportunities for their future employment needs.  Prior to beginning the internship, the candidates must pass a criminal background check and submit a recent copy of their transcript.
