Long-term and short-term volunteer opportunities available.

Goal of Program:
The FaithJustice Fellowships seek to provide passionate women and men an opportunity to explore the relationship between faith and justice, serve those in need and build community.  It is designed for those looking to begin or continue a career in pastoral ministry or faith-based social services.  Volunteers work closely with Center for FaithJustice (non-profit Catholic organizations) staff in a variety of capacities including direct service, justice advocacy, pastoral ministry and nonprofit administration.  Fellows participate in vocational discernment, professional mentoring and ongoing spiritual and intellectual formation.

Size of Program & Length of Service:
Long-term:  4-6 volunteers, rolling applications, includes one and two year placements.
Short-term:  varies, please www.faithjustice.org for more details on the various volunteer opportunities offered by the Center for FaithJustice.

Type of Placements:
Diverse work experiences may include social services, justice advocacy, education, pastoral ministry, serving developmentally disabled adults, summer programs and nonprofit administration.

Service Areas
Long-Term:  Central New Jersey and Philadelphia Metro Area.
Short-Term:  Central New Jersey

Living Arrangements
Suburban facilities with semi-private rooms and shared common areas, located one hour from New York and Philadelphia.  Shared food budget and access to community vehicle.

Stipend:
Fellows are provided full room and board, a monthly stipend for living expenses, and health insurance.

Application Deadline:
All applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all placements are filled.

Requirements:
Long-Term:  21 years of older, women or men, single or married (no children), engaged in the life of the Catholic community, able to take initiative, high school graduate required, college degree or equivalent work experience preferred, drivers' license.

Training & Development:
Long-Term:  Orientation, ongoing formation, mentoring, child safety, spiritual direction, retreat opportunities.
Short-Term:  Orientation, mentoring.
