WHY A CAMPAIGN?

If there is one characteristic that typifies Rivier College, it is self-reliance. Founded by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1933, this institution has sought to serve rather than be served. The Sisters themselves were the College's endowment.

Times have changed. The Sisters' tremendous contribution of talent and hard work over the last seven decades has provided a major educational heritage, for Nashua, for New Hampshire, Masschusetts, and beyond. Now, to build and enhance that heritage Rivier must grow its own resources and seek the support of our alumni and friends.

Designing the Future: The Campaign for Rivier College will provide a starting point for a period of planned, steady growth for the institution. The campaign goals are first steps, building blocks that will allow the College to expand its legacy, and plant the seeds for future prosperity.

The College's first capital campaign will introduce the Greater Nashua community, alumni, and friends to what we consider crucial to our future: innovative, mutually beneficial partnerships within the community and expanded private support from those who consider Rivier College an irreplaceable part of their lives.
