File Naming Conventions
If you are uploading files to Blackboard or attaching files to a Blackboard Discussion Board post, please remember the following file naming conventions:
• Use only letters, numbers and underscores (_) in filenames.
• Don't use periods anywhere else in your filenames except before the extension.
• Don't use spaces, commas, pound signs (#), question marks, equal signs, dashes or any other special characters in your filenames.

Office 2007 - Vista - Blackboard Issues
If you are using Windows Vista and Office 2007 (including here on campus), please save your files in Word (Excel and PowerPoint) 97-2003 format before posting to Blackboard. When you SAVE AS.., you will be given the option for the format required. This will enable others not using Vista or Office 2007 to read your files.
