Rivier’s Alumni Council and Parents Council plan and implement a variety of programs, activities, and events throughout the year to keep alumni and parents connected with the College.

Rivier College Alumni Council

The Alumni Council represents the Alumni Association and serves as the voice for Rivier's alumni. Council members support Rivier’s mission and outreach efforts by participating in programs with admissions, development, and the community. Activities include:

• Planning and sponsoring events for alumni and current students.

• Participating in events with the College’s admissions offices.

• Recognizing outstanding service with the Sr. Madeleine of Jesus Award. View Alumni Awards page for more information about this prestigious award.

• Raising money for programming and student scholarships through special events.

The Council considers new members when positions become available. To be considered for the Council or recommend a Rivier graduate, download and submit a nomination form to the Office of Development & Alumni Relations.

Rivier College Parents Council 

The Rivier College Parents Council gives our students’ parents a way to meet, share ideas, stay in touch with what is happening on campus, and make a meaningful contribution to the work of the College. The Parents Council includes parents of current students, parents of alumni, and even grandparents who support their students and Rivier College through activities and student outreach.

 The Parents Council sponsor and participate in a variety of activities throughout the year, including:

• Helping new students settle into their residence halls on move-in-day.

• Co-sponsoring a fundraiser with the Alumni Council fundraiser to raise money for student scholarships.

• Hosting an informational and/or congratulatory gathering in a member’s home for alumni, prospective students, and their parents.

• Serving as a resource for prospective students/parents with questions about Rivier.

• Hosting a reception for new parents during the summer Orientation for new students.
