Rivier's evening and online programs in psychology and human development will help you fully understand and explore the science of human behavior. You'll develop strong analytical skills, become an effective communicator, and learn to solve problems creatively. The online psychology degree combines the quality of an established academic program with the convenience and flexibility of online learning.
A minor in social work offers hands-on experience with local social service agencies and can help you become more competitive in the job market.
Facilities and resources
On campus: The behavioral science lab includes five computers with EmpiriSoft MediaLab and DirectRT software for millisecond precision in measuring cognition and perception from human subjects. Computers are also equipped with SPSS for data analysis. The clinical lab provides space for training and instruction in individual and group therapy, testing, assessment, and research. The room permits students to gain experience under supervision while maintaining privacy.
Online: Regina Library offers access to a large number of electronic journals and other resources. The University also provides 24/7 technical support for Blackboard, Rivier's online course management system.
Jobs and internships
Rivier graduates with additional education have gone on to work as counselors, licensed psychologists, case managers, and more. Partnerships with agencies throughout the area provide plentiful internship opportunities. Students have interned at:
