Candidates for admission should have completed the following:
Students need a total of 16 units - the remaining units may be made up from any academic subjects in an accredited high school curriculum. Exceptions to the above curriculum, which may include students with equivalent diplomas such as the GED, are reviewed on an individual basis.
Qualified students are notified of acceptance 2 to 4 weeks from the date their application is complete. The College recommends that students submit applications by March 1 for fall semester and November 1 for spring semester, however, qualified students are admitted to the College as long as space is available. Applicants who wish to be considered for the Honors Program must apply by February 1.
Freshman candidates for fall admissions who have strong academic records through their junior year of high school may receive notification of acceptance early in their senior year under Rivier's Early Action Program. Under Early Action, applicants are reviewed for admission based on their academic record through junior year. Early Applicants must submit all required materials except senior year grades. The Admissions Committee will begin review of Early Action applications in September and notify applicants on a rolling basis through December 1. Students reviewed for Early Action but not accepted at that time will be asked to submit first quarter senior year grades and will be considered under the Rolling Admission program.
