New media marketing, advertising, public relations, social media management—Rivier’s marketing communications degree teaches students strategies of effective communication within the constantly evolving media world by focusing on the relationship between audience needs and the communicator’s goals.

The curriculum is interdisciplinary, a combination of business and communications, with a focus on practical applications. Students are required to complete internships in their sophomore and senior years. Additionally, students are taught the social and ethical responsibilities associated with their discipline and learn to develop problem-solving strategies for marketing communication challenges.
