Women's Studies Minor
Program Director: Marjorie Faiia, (603) 897-8538
Women's Studies at Rivier University is designed as an interdisciplinary program that explores, from a feminist and global perspective, the contributions, ideas, and experience of women in all areas of society. The program seeks to actively engage both faculty and students in the examination of and discourse about women's lives in all their diversity. Participants are committed to the integration of scholarship by women into the academic curriculum, and to the continued refinement of a vision that values women's social, political and professional development.
In addition to specific courses on women in a variety of disciplines, the Women's Studies program offers extracurricular programming on women's issues. The department does not offer a major; however, students may earn a minor in women's studies upon the completion of five courses.
