You will work with faculty who are both effective teachers and accomplished artists, and will benefit from the department's extensive resources. As an art student, you can take advantage of field trips to musuems, galleries, studios, and production houses; visting artists programs, and professional exhibitions in the Rivier College Art Gallery. You will develop a strong portfolio and complete a senior internship, allowing you to gain confidence, experience, and a wide range of skills that will guarantee your success in the workplace.
Rivier Advantages - Students have ample opportunities to work in the College’s photography, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and painting studios.
Learn traditional media and new technologies, including web design, digital photography, 2D and 3D computer animation, and game design. Rivier’s art programs offer a broad liberal arts curriculum incorporating communication and critical thinking skills. Small class sizes provide individualized attention and support from faculty, who are both effective teachers and accomplished artists. Develop marketable skills and build a portfolio in our digital imaging studio, featuring current design and imaging software. Graduates have gone on to careers in graphic design, photography, fine art, art education, web design, art direction, digital video, museum/gallery management, software training, and more.
