Meet Robert Schaefer

In addition to teaching, Mr. Schaefer works as a Research Engineer at MIT developing software/hardware infrastructure improvements for the MIT Haystack Observatory. At Lockheed Martin Sanders, he managed systems integration for the F22 and F35 jet fighters' onboard computers. Additionally, Mr. Schaefer served as principal software engineer at Analytyx on the Large Angle and Spectrometric COronagraph (LASCO) instrument, one of 11 instruments included on the joint NASA/ESA Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).
