Full time Staff & Faculty are eligible for benefits the 1st of the month after date of hire 

Medical  (Harvard Pilgrim Health Care) - Elevate Health Plan (NH Based Network) or HMO LP Plan (New England Network)

  • $30 copay for PCP visits, $60 copay for Specialist visits, $60 copay for Urgent Care, $250 copay for Emergency Room after deductible
  • $10 / $25/ $50/$150 copay for retail RX / $10 / $50 / $100/$450 copay for mail-order RX - 90 days
  • Chiropractic and Acupuncture visits - $30 copay, max visits apply per calendar year
  • $5,000 individual / $12,000 family deductible applies to inpatient care, ambulance, CT scan, MRI, X-Ray, durable medical equipment, lab tests and/or outpatient surgery           performed at a hospital facility
  • Day Surgery - Select Surgery Centers - $100 copay
  • Vision - $30 copay for 1 exam per year
  • Visionworks eyewear program allows certain coverage and free frames (Tier 1) if you have your routine eye exam done at a participating Visionworks

Preventative Care 2017 ACA

Dental (Northeast Delta Dental) – Premier Plus PPO
•       Eligibility: First day of the month following date of hire
•       100% coverage for diagnostic and preventative procedures, including four (4) cleanings in a 12-month period
•       80% coverage for basic procedures, including restorative treatment, oral surgery,endodontics, periodontics, denture repair, and emergency palliative treatment
•       50% coverage for major procedures, including prosthodontic treatment
•       $1,000 calendar year maximum per person
•       $50 individual / $150 family deductible per calendar year

Health Reimbursement Arrangement (Benefit Strategies)
•     Eligibility: First day of the month following date of hire
•     Employees and their dependents enrolled in the medical plan will be reimbursed for expenses incurred against the medical plan deductible
•     Each member enrolled in the medical plan will be reimbursed the remaining amount of the individual deductible after the first $3,000, up to a maximum of $2,000 per calendar year
•     Reimbursement is automatic via direct feed between Benefit Strategies and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care 

Flexible Spending Accounts (Benefit Strategies)
• Eligibility: First day of the month following date of hire
• Employees may elect to contribute pre-tax dollars to an FSA for reimbursement of eligible expenses
     o Health FSA (annual maximum of $2,600) for out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision, and hearing expenses
     o Dependent Care FSA (annual maximum of $5,000) for expenses related to dependent day care

Life, AD&D and LTD (Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield)
• Eligibility: First day of the month following date of hire
• Premiums paid by Rivier University
     o Life Insurance: valued at 1.5x base salary, rounded to the next highest $1,000, up to a maximum of $150,000
     o AD&D: valued at 1.5x base salary, rounded to the next highest $1,000, up to a maximum of $150,000
     o Long-Term Disability: replaces up to 60% of monthly covered compensation, not to exceed $5,000, after a 90-day elimination period

 

Voluntary Life Insurance and Short Term Disability
• Eligible the first of the month following date of hire; premiums are paid by employee  

Anthem Resource Advisor 
• Eligibility: date of hire
• Premiums paid by Rivier University
• Provides confidential counseling services, travel protection, legal consultations, financial guidance, health coaching, and wellness work/life resources to the employee and members of their household

403(b) Retirement Plans (TIAA)
• Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan: As of the first day of the month following date of hire, employees may elect to contribute pre-tax dollars towards retirement savings, up to the IRS maximum
• Defined Contribution Plan: After one year of employment, employees may elect to contribute 5% of base salary towards retirement savings; the University will contribute a 5% match
Designated Roth Account: As of the first day of the month following date of hire, employees may elect to contribute post-tax dollars towards retirement savings, up to the IRS maximum. 
Tuition Remission at Rivier University
• Eligibility: first semester following date of hire
• Employees, spouses, and dependent children are eligible for 100% tuition remission at Rivier University
     o Employee: may waive a maximum of two (2) classes per semester (may register for classes no earlier than 1 week before class starts) 
     o Spouse: may waive courses up to a full-time status (may register for classes no earlier than 1 week before class starts) 
     o Dependent Child: may waive courses up to a full-time status
• Calendar year maximum benefit of $5,250 applies to coursework in pursuit of 2nd undergraduate degree or graduate degree
• No calendar year maximum for coursework in pursuit of a 1st undergraduate degree

Tuition Exchange through NHCUC (Colby-Sawyer College, Franklin Pierce University, New England College, St. Anselm College, SNHU)
• Eligibility: one year of employment
• Dependent children of employees are eligible for tuition remission at participating institutions; student must meet institution’s admissions requirements

• Eligibility: one year of employment
• Dependent children of employees are eligible for tuition remission at participating institutions; student must meet institution’s admissions requirements

Tuition Exchange through TE (National Tuition Exchange Network) 

• Eligibility: one year of employment
• Dependent children of employees are eligible for tuition remission at participating institutions; student must meet institution’s admissions requirements

Time-Off Benefits
• Family Medical Leave
• Holidays: ten (10) per calendar year
• Bereavement Leave: one (1) to five (5) days
• Paid Time Off (PTO): staff accrue PTO based on length of continuous service and scheduled hours
     o Non-Exempt staff accrue sixteen (16) days annually, up to a maximum of thirty (30) days
     o Exempt staff accrue twenty-one (21) days annually, up to a maximum of thirty (30) days
• Extended Sick Leave (ESL): staff accrue five (5) days annually, up to a maximum of ninety (90) days
